The master's degree course in environmental health engineering at the Faculty of Health of Alborz University of Medical Sciences is 2 years and includes 4 semesters. During this period, the student, while getting acquainted with the mission and goals of this field, learns the techniques and methods of controlling and managing pollutants in the environment, as well as the methods of conducting applied research. During the first 2 to 3 semesters, they master courses including water treatment (mechanisms and processes of water purification and its design), solid waste disposal, engineering wastewater treatment (wastewater treatment methods and processes as well as related treatment plant plans)and air pollution control, environmental health epidemiology, research methods and research preparations in a more advanced form than their undergraduate course. In the fourth semester, the student will enter the research stage by submitting his / her thesis proposal and will take related actions under the supervision of supervisors and advisors.
