Hydatid Disease Research Center

The Center

With the approval of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education (MoHME), the Research Center for Hydatid Disease in Iran (RCHD) have started its activities in August 2013 in Kerman University of Medical Sciences (KMU) under the supervision of Prof. Majid Fasihi Harandi as the director and Mrs. Nasibi as the executive manager. RCHD was established to conduct basic, epidemiological and clinical research, training human resources as well as to promote applied research in the field of echinoccosis and hydatid disease. 

International Collaborations 

RCHD joined the European Register of Cystic Echinoccosis (ERCE) in 2015 and developed international collaboration and support for disease registry programs at the national level. In RCHD international Collaborations in research and training involved more than 18 countries. The center has been actively cooperated with the WHO-IWGE activities and the center's director has been the Asian secretary of the World Association of Echinoccosis (WAE) since 2009.
