After Appearance of Islam, Mosques, which were added to the urban elements of Islamic towns, gradually became their most valuable component. As Islam spread throughout Iran (since 14th Century), fire temples receded in favor of mosques. Every neighborhood in Iranian towns has at least on mosque, in which devoted Muslims gather three to five times a day for prayers. Every Friday, people congregate in a place called Jom'eh (Friday) Mosque for prayers and their politic- religious duties. Jom'eh Masque is also called Jam'e (main) Mosque.
Jame mosque is one of the oldest and largest mosque in Iran, which was built during the reign of A- Muzaf-far in 750AH.is amongst the unique mosques of Iran because has no minarets and follows the ideal four-iwan plan.
