Health Services Management is the use of human sciences in medical sciences. The role of health services managers is to plan for the efficient use of available resources, to structure and manage the organization and to evaluate the performance in order to achieve organizational goals that are in line with the values of the society. With no doubt, one of the significant reasons for the problems of hospitals and other healthcare facilities is the lack of knowledgeable and experienced managers. Such a manager is able to efficiently use available resources in order to meet the needs of his employees and patients and to provide best services in minimum time. To do so, the manager needs professional knowledge that is taught in the PhD program of Health Services Management.
This program accommodates management sciences to healthcare services in order to manage all healthcare facilities from community level to the ministry of health and medical universities effectively.
The aim of the program is providing knowledgeable workforce for providing administrative services in healthcare facilities in order to improve efficiency, productivity and the quality of the services. The educational goals include:
