Akbar Hospital in Mashhad, Iran is located in the best location of the city. This hospital is newly built and has a beautiful landscape .The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of Akbar Children's Hospital consists of 25 beds and 8 surgical NICU beds. There are also three PICU for children in Sheikh, Ghaem and Imam Reza hospitals. These wards are equipped with all advanced medical equipment and facilities. This group has been working since 1991 and has highly experienced specialists in the field of child care. Graduates of this course are working in the field of diagnosis, care and treatment of a wide range of clinical problems in patients with severe and life-threatening failure in one or multiple organs.

Aims:

1. To train knowledgeable, innovative, explorative experts with managerial ability, and with spiritual and professional ethics that with the acquisition of knowledge and skills.
2. To conduct researches in the field of health promotion and reduction of treatment complications and costs.
3. Reduction of mortality and duration of hospitalization in the PICU at the highest international standards.
4. Promotion of intensive care to the first rank of the region in terms of therapeutic, educational and research perspective.
5. Training of assistants, fellowships and collateral groups of emergency medicine and anesthesia.
