The importance of oral and maxillofacial pathology is to provide accurate and final diagnosis for management of oral and maxillofacial lesions. By evaluation of macroscopic and microscopic features of tissue samples, and based on clinical sign, radiographical data , and other diagnostic techniques in the required cases, oral and maxillofacial pathologists provide the interpretation and final diagnosis for specialists who referred the patient.
