The key to the health of the body is oral and dental health, and one of the philosophies behind pediatric dentistry is preventing oral diseases and maintaining tooth health from fetal development until the period of deciduous teeth, mixed dentition, and permanent teeth in children and adolescents.
The key to the health of the body is oral and dental health, and one of the philosophies behind pediatric dentistry is preventing oral diseases and maintaining tooth health from fetal development until the period of deciduous teeth, mixed dentition, and permanent teeth in children and adolescents. Success in pediatric dentistry depends on controlling children’s behavior and earning their trust in the dental clinic. It is expected that behavioral control skills be properly exploited in order to both successfully provide educational, preventive and therapeutic services to children and adolescents, and elicit a positive attitude toward dentists, dentistry and dental care in their minds, which can in turn have a positive impact on their oral and dental health (and thus on overall health) for the rest of their lives.
