This is a skill training course designed for non-Iranian students. Entering this course, students are required to be fluent in English (As the teaching language) and to have medical basis. This course is defined according to six continuous practical and theoretical month package. Education is held during 24 weeks – 12 theoretical and 12 practical – approved by Acupuncture Medicine Clinic.
Each educational week consists of the first five days of the week from 8 am to 12 pm. Each pended session is remedied during the same week days after 12 o'clock.
All professors are selected among faculty members of Chinese and complementary medicine according to their background experiences and chairman approval.
Theoretical education runs through lectures and educational slides. During practical education, students practically follow the professor running the treatment on the present patients of the clinic. Each professor is at least followed by two observers taught theoretically and practically.
This course is mostly defined for freshmen comprising of basic and diagnostic educations as well as training common disease treatment protocol with acupuncture medicine.
In this course, students will be able to learn diagnostic principles of Chinese medicine, the meridian track detection, acupuncture points, and synthetic formulation of acupuncture medicine in common and specific diseases.
Course evaluation is run through paper and practical exams, and the participants receive the license from the relevant authorities.
Theoretical part:
1. Medical ethics in complementary medicine application (4 hours)
2. Chinese medicine principles (24 hours)
3. Chinese medicine diagnosis principles (44 hours – 40 theoretical, 4 practical)
4. Introduction of acupuncture medicine instruments and their application (8 hours)
5. Meridianology (80 hours – 60 theoretical, 20 practical)
6. Treating common diseases with acupuncture medicine (80 hours)
Practical part:
Following professors in clinic for 3 months
