When health is the body balance, the maintenance of the health is the maintenance of our balance. Whenever the body is out of the balance, it should be rearranged in body through various methods namely treatment approaches. Health maintenance knowledge refers to the knowledge and recognition of required principles of body balance and the prevention of disorders disturbing body balance and contributing in the emergence of diseases. Therefore, this knowledge has some priorities over other knowledge, and its outcome/benefit is the prerequisite of other benefits so that only a healthy individual can run the affairs correctly referring to sound mind in sound body. Therefore, healthiness is the condition of the correctness. Everybody is required to maintain his/her health and gain the knowledge relevant to his/her health condition. It is worth notable that health maintenance is not just related to the earthly dimensions of humanities. It has also serious spiritual and mental effects.
Traditional conventions refers to health maintenance principle through Six Requirements including
1. Air: as one of the cornerstones of survival and clean breathing
2. Nutrition: including eating, drinking and the description of vegetation and animal food in different tastes, regions, seasons, ages, careers, and the definition of different kinds of water, their properties, and the dose of drinking in different conditions
3. Health maintenance in static and dynamic status of the body: referring to the fitness of nutrition and activities and the requirement of exercising in different forms and for different age groups
4. Health maintenance in vigilance and sleep: sleeping conditions in different age groups, seasons, and conditions
5. Maintenance and Removement: referring to the principle of maintaining what is required for the body and removing what is extra the negligence of which would result in body disorders
6. Body moods: different status experienced in different situations including happiness, angriness, shyness, enjoyment, etc.
