The purpose of this course is to present an overall approach for leading and management in organizations that offer health services.

The purpose of this course is to present an overall approach for leading and management in organizations that offer health services. The goal is to make use of the experience of participants in the course and emphasize on the theoretical leadership and contents related to human resource development in order to better understand the environmental conditions of the organizations offering health services and to achieve the necessary readiness to play the more effective role of a manager/leader in these environments.

From an attitudinal point of view, this course tries to introduce the operational and interface groups amongst the managers with the important and effective role of this course on the quality of presenting different cares developing responsibilities and providing managers with answers. It also tries to investigate the issues and problems of clinical environments from a critical viewpoint and find the roots of these problems and analyze these problems based on managerial and leadership contexts presenting executive solutions for resolving the existing problems in working environment. Learners choose one issue based on their working environment, analyze it with the help of a consultant. According to the problem solving pattern and with the use of operational programs designing skills, they try to design an operational program. They also try to involve policies and procedures in compliance with the operation of the program and finally give reports to the instructors on the stages of execution.
Details: participants will be involved in a 7 day (8 am to 13 pm) theoretical training program (total of 30 hours) and two 5-hour workshops.

Active listening skills and giving feedback to employees, power sources and the effective use of formal and informal capabilities, leadership or management, firmness and conflict resolution
Day three:
Firmness and conflict resolution, motivation and methods of motivating employees
Day four:
Motivation and methods of motivating employees
Day five:
Setting goals and defining policies
Day six:
Operational planning
Day seven:
Organization and models of offering nursing cares
