Cardiovascular disease (CAD) is the leading cause of death worldwide as well as in Iran. Several factors have been documented to be associated with the risk of this disease including genetics and molecular background of patients. The aim of current study is to explore and identify novel genetics biomarkers in CAD patients of our cohort. In the present study, we will use the patients of our hospitals (Ghaem and Reza hospitals) from MASHAD cohort (including around 9700 patients) in order to investigate our hypothesis to propose innovative novel risk biomarkers in CAD patients, which might be used for clinical management of patients. For this, we will do a systematic review and meta-analysis on the potential locus recognized by genome wild association studies. Then, we will genotypes our patients and evaluate the impact of those genotypes of each gene with demographic and clinical characteristics of population using univariate and multivariate analysis. we will also employ data mining and artificial neural network analysis on the clinical characteristics of population and genetic/molecular background of patients in order to identify new potential biomarkers associated with increased/decreased risk of CAD and a new formula for clinical management of patients with cardiovascular disease.
