Nephrotic syndrome is a set of symptoms including proteinuria, low plasma protein concentration, high plasma cholesterol, and triglyceride concentration, and edema. The most common cause in children is minimal change disease. However, in adults, the most common cause is membranous glomerulonephritis.

This condition can also happen due to cancer, diabetes, systemic lupus erythematosus, multiple myeloma, and amyloidosis, genetic disorders, immune disorders, infectious diseases, and drugs.
This short course program has been organized for the young researchers from different countries to improve their skills drug-induced nephrotic syndrome model in animal.
The foreign applicants would be expected to become capable of establishing the animal model of drug-induced nephrotic syndrome in the rat.
