An Introduction of different existing coagulation products, application indications, method of producing, maintaining, transporting, preparing, injecting, and calculating the dosage and etc.

Considering the fact that consanguinity is common in regional countries, such as Iran, the probability of inherited diseases outbreaks such as bleeding disorders or hemophilia will become higher. In order to diagnose most of these diseases, the need for a strong clinical suspicion and acquaintance of the medical team with the clinical symptoms and manifestation is of great importance. Moreover, being familiarized with the basic principles of laboratory diagnostics and the basic principles of treating these diseases can be of great help for improving life quality and reducing the outbreak of potential symptoms in patients.
The hemophilia-thalassemia center of Mashhad (server clinic) considered as a nation-wide and referential center with more than 600 patients suffering from different bleeding disorders including hemophilia A and B and various rare coagulation and bleeding disorders (RBD), diagnoses an annual amount of more than 50 new cases and includes a daily hematology clinic, transfusion, dentistry, physiotherapy, laboratory, radiology drugstore, infection clinic, orthopedic, pre-marital consultation units, etc. with a 12 year history of continuous activity, it is considered one the active and leading centers in providing services to patients and educating different student groups.
One of the most important facts is that the common language of Iran and some regional countries is Persian which facilitates the communication and educational activities.
Therefore, passing short-term courses (approximately 4 weeks) is advised for general practitioners, pediatricians/ internists who are responsible for treating these patients. The courses include:
1. An Introduction of different bleeding disorders (with the presentation of conferences, classes, … )
2. Attending blood coagulation labs and introduction to the general principles of performing coagulation tests
3. An Introduction of different existing coagulation products, application indications, method of producing, maintaining, transporting, preparing, injecting, and calculating the dosage and etc.
4. An Introduction of different therapeutic methods (prophylaxis, on demand, … )
5. An Introduction of various rare coagulating disorders
6. Introduction of different acute and chronic effects of these disorders and methods of handling them such as joint problems, inhibitors, blood transmitted diseases, …
7. Managing surgical practices
8. Managing dentistry treatments
9. Physiotherapy management

- Physiotherapy unit – 3 days a week
