The Master of Clinical Nutrition is designed to produce highly competitive graduates with comprehensive clinical nutrition management and dietetic skills in both inpatients and outpatients setting. The Nutrition Department of Mashhad Medical School provide mandatory credit courses that include: coursework in enteral and parenteral therapy, nutrition in critical illness, pharmacology, physiopathology, and management of obesity, diabetes, eating disorders, GI diseases, oncology or other nutritional current topics. The faculty members are accomplished nutrition professionals with years of clinical experience, active participation in medical professional event, and publication of cutting-edge research . A successful graduate will be prepared to:
• Describe nutrient characteristics, food sources, bioavailability, and utilization within the body
• Identify disease pathophysiology, risk factors, and symptoms of nutrition deficiencies
• Design dietary plans for adults and children based on their normal and therapeutic needs
• Perform nutritional assessments, nutritional focused physical examination and interpret results
Master of Clinical Nutrition Program Description
The Master of Clinical Nutrition program at the Mashhad University of Medical is an on-campus, thesis based, 2 years graduate level program awarding the Master of Clinical Nutrition degree .
All applications materials, including Graduate Record Examination scores, application forms and college transcripts, must be received by the June 1 deadline.
Master of Clinical Nutrition Schedule
During the first 3 semester, students complete several coursework on campus and participate in some supervised experiential learning on a part-time rotational basis. In the last semester the students work on their thesis projects. The program is completed in 18 months (four semesters) following the Mashhad University academic calendar.

Supervised Experiential Learning
All supervised experiential learning occurs on Hospitals & Clinics of the Mashhad University of Medical Sciences.
Clinical rotations
Within the clinical divisions of the hospital, the students participate in rounds, patient care reviews, and specialty clinics as contributing members of the health care team. Clinical dietitians develop nutrition care plans, monitor nutritional status, and counsel patients having special nutritional needs. Students will develop their clinical skills in supervised rotations with the clinical dietitians and complete four weeks in clinical staff relief. Required core clinical patient populations include disordered eating, pediatrics, oncology, cardiology, critical care, and outpatient.

Master of Clinical Nutrition Program Completion Requirements
To earn the Master of Clinical Nutrition degree, the student must:
• Complete all graduate courses and supervised experiential learning rotations and maintain a cumulative score of 14/20 or higher
• Complete thesis defense with an overall score 16/20
• Perform in a professional and ethical manner
