Definition: Nursing management is a field that empowers students to play policymaking, management and leadership roles at different levels
of nursing in the health system. Graduates of this field will apply management and leadership techniques to enhance the quality of clinical and health nursing in line with national, regional and international standards.
Purpose of this field of Nursing Managers is to empower responsible and accountable ethics to play management and leadership roles at different levels of nursing that can lead to the promotion of quality nursing services by integrating the art and science of management.
Overall field goals included:
Training an efficient and specialized staff to enhance research education services and improve nursing service management at different levels and centers of the nursing system
Improving nursing professional Performance, and help improve health economics, growth and productivity in nursing services.

Graduates of this course will be able to:
1. Plan nursing services for target groups accordance with their needs
2. Scientific and Practical estimation of the required Nursing Manpower in Health Care Centers
3. Control and monitor work practices and processes in order to improve the quality of nursing care in health care centers.
4. Develop professional ethics and human relationships
5. Develop and implement nursing service quality improvement models appropriate to the health system of the country
6. Educate and train skilled staff in management of nursing care
7. Implement and develop field-based, technological and applied research related to health services in the field of nursing.
