With no doubt, one of the significant reasons for the problems of hospitals and other healthcare facilities is the lack of knowledgeable and experienced managers. Such a manager is able to efficiently use available resources in order to meet the needs of his employees and patients and to provide best services in minimum time. To do so, the manager needs professional knowledge that is taught in the master program of Health Services Management.
This program accommodates management sciences to healthcare services in order to manage all healthcare facilities from community level to the ministry of health and medical universities effectively.
The aim of the program is providing knowledgeable workforce for providing administrative services in healthcare facilities in order to improve efficiency, productivity and the quality of the services. The educational goals include:
1- Preparing the students for the managerial positions of hospitals and health centers and improving the quality of hospital services
2. Helping senior managers in making decisions
3. Performing applied studies and solving health problems
4- Developing economic and financial skills in health system
5- Developing technical knowledge and experience through research and training courses in the health system
6- Developing problem-solving skills in health systems through quantitative and qualitative applied research
