Advanced contact lenses

This is a short-term course which ends to an academic certificate for students seeking for a short-term course in contact lens education. Participants will experience a course of contact lens education and training in an academic setting. Prescribe different types of contact lenses to correct refractive error and improve vision in various patients.

Contact lenses are alternative options for visual correction of many patients how are not suitable for glasses or refractive surgery, such high astigmatic patients, Keratoconic eyes, post traumatic and post refractive surgery cases. At the end of this course, the participants will be able to:

Evaluate and select suitable cases for different types of contact lenses.
Evaluate the ocular surface and dry eye patients.
Learn how to fit and prescribe different types of contact lenses (Soft, RGP, Scleral, mini-scleral lenses).
Get involved in related research works and journal clubs.
