Death rate statistics is of big interest in the public health sector. Establishing and assessing the exact causes of death are important elements in any health policies and health system strategies, either to adapt specific preventive actions or to detect emergent illnesses. A death certificate is an official document in which the medical practitioner primarily records the cause of death sequence, the time interval between the onset of the cause of death and death, and personal details of the deceased. Errors in death certificate documentation are not uncommon. Thus, Death Certificates (DCs), are an important tool allowing to have exact and exclusive data, hence should be written with the highest accuracy. Fulfilling a Death Certificate is also a medico-judicial act, besides stating the cause of death, it also indicates whether there is a need of an autopsy or any other medical intervention before inhumation. Participants will know how to adequately complete a Death Certificate according to standards established by the Word Health Organization.
