Prosthodontics and Restorative Dentistry

About us

 

Prosthodonticsis the dental specialty pertaining to the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation and maintenance of the oral function, comfort, appearance and health of patients with clinical conditions associated with missing or deficient teeth or oral and maxillofacial tissues using biocompatible substitutes.

 

The group is consisted of four boardmen in charge of three subgroups of complete and partial removable prosthesis and fixed prosthesis. Each subgroup has a preclinical course and two clinical course. Also two theoretical courses are taught in this group.

 

Restorative dentistry is the study, diagnosis and integrated management of diseases of the teeth and their supporting structures and the rehabilitation of the dentition to functional and aesthetic requirements of the individual. The three boardmen of the group are in charge of a preclinical course followed by three clinical courses. They also teach three theoretical restorative courses.
