Expansion of university collaboration with the largest food research institute in East Asia During a visit to South Korea, the president of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Alireza Zali, expressed readiness to expand scientific and research collaborations with the largest food research institute in East Asia.

Expansion of university collaboration with the largest food research institute in East Asia During a visit to South Korea, the president of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Alireza Zali, expressed readiness to expand scientific and research collaborations with the largest food research institute in East Asia.

According to the Public Relations Office of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Alireza Zali, along with Dr. Afshin Zarqi, Deputy of Research and Technology, and Dr. Yazdan Panah, Head of the Food Health Research Center of the university, visited the largest food research institute in East Asia and one of the largest research institutions in the world, along with the ambassador and president of the KFRI Food Research Institute, Saeed Koozehchi, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic in Korea.
The president of the Food Research Institute in Korea introduced the activities of the center in terms of expanding research collaborations and knowledge exchange in the fields of pre-clinical, clinical, and food authenticity with Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, expressing hope.
Dr. Alireza Zali, the president of the university, also introduced the capabilities of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences during this trip and proposed the establishment of a joint research committee between these two centers and introduced the Food Health Research Center of the university as a scientific collaborator of the KFRI Food Research Institute in Korea.
The use of advanced technologies in the identification of food fraud, the production of functional foods, food authenticity assessment, the use of robots, artificial intelligence, and biosensors were important topics of knowledge exchange between the university and the KFRI Food Research Institute in Korea.
