An Introduction to SSU

The history of medical education dates back to over 700 years ago in the historic city of Yazd. However, in an academic context, Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences was founded in 1983 with 45 medical students. To date, over 19,500 health professionals have been graduated from SSU in all branches of health care, including health, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, midwifery, and paramedical sciences.
