Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (SBUMS) is one of the three medical universities in Tehran, the capital of Iran. The university began its mission in 1961 with establishing the Schools of Medicine and Dentistry. The university is located in one of the best locations in the capital of Iran, Tehran, at the north part of Tehran with view of the Alborz Mountains. Following the merge of some of the treatment and educational units and organizations affiliated to the Ministry of Health, “Melli University” (National University) in 1986 was renamed to Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. won 35th place in the world in "(SDG3 )"

According to the Times International Ranking Institute, in the "Impact Ranking", Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences succeeded in gaining the position of 35 in the world in the field of health and welfare for the general public. It is worth mentioning that Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences has made a 43-step jump compared to last year in this basic goal and has been upgraded from 78th place in the world in 2019 to 35th place in 2020.

Opening Iran-France office at SBUMS

In the course of developing international, scientific and medical relations, the office of scientific, medical and university collaboration of Iran and France with the presence of the Ambassador of France and Chancellor of University, opened at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences .
