Pasteur Institute of Iran (PII) is actively performing research in the field of Medical Biotechnology, as evidenced by its track record (See the below table). It is therefore proud to present a variety of fields, including the followings, as topics of PhD dissertations: design and development of recombinant vaccines, therapeutic agents (targeting genes, transcripts and the resulting products), molecular diagnostics for various disorders as well as transgenic in vitro and in vivo models, in which the developed products are validated.
PII, having access to its leading edge production center, is also equipped to explore and implement projects in the industrial development of medical biotechnology products, such as various vaccine formulations as well as developmental research in the fields of quality control and assurance of the target recombinant products. We therefore believe international students, who are interested in the above-mentioned topics and similar areas, have a variety of topics to choose from and will be satisfied with the amount of hands-on-training they will receive during their PhD dissertation at PII.
