Health insurance is a crucial requirement for students. Most Iranian universities provide their international students with health insurance. For more information and required documents regarding insurance, please contact the international office of your university.
Prescriptions from Iranian doctors can be found at local pharmacies. Drugstores are normally open from 09:00 a.m. to 09:00 p.m. but closed on Fridays and public holidays. However, 24-hour drugstores are available in every part of major cities. If you need prescription medicine, it is a good idea to bring an adequate supply along with required documents.
