The following information has been made available to help potential students with the application process. It is of high importance that you read the entire set of instructions carefully. Please make sure that you have prepared the following documents prior to admission:
 
Documents required for undergraduate programs:

  • A secondary school diploma or a certificate of equivalence
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV/Resume): this includes your work background, educational experience, and your personal information.
  • Cover letter: this letter must demonstrate what program(s) you are applying for.
  • Scanned copy of your passports main page(s) in high quality of any graphic format (PDF, JPEG, and PNG)
  • Passport size photo
  • Language requirements: The student should be able of speaking and writing English.
  1. Documents Required for postgraduate programs:

Graduation certification:

  • A satisfactory academic record:  Applicants must obtain an official  transcripts of record from the institution they have attended. There is no minimum GPA required to secure admission to one of our graduate programs; however, competitive applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or above (Minimum Score is %75).
  1. B.Sc. and secondary school or equivalent certificate for the applicants of M.Sc. degree
  2. M.Sc. and B.Sc. or equivalent certificate for the applicants of a Ph.D. degree
  3. M.D. or the equivalent certificate for the applicants of Specialty Programs
  4. M.D. and specialty or certificate of equivalence for subspecialty or fellowship degrees.
  5. Certificate of Internship or Certificate of Practice for applicants of Specialty programs, Subspecialty programs, and Fellowship degrees.
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV/Resume): this includes your work background, educational     experience, and your personal information.
  • Cover letter: this letter must demonstrate what program(s) you are applying for.
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Scanned copy of your passports main page(s) in high quality of any graphic format (PDF, JPEG, and PNG)
  • Passport size photo
  • Language requirements: proof of English language proficiency on the TOEFL or IELTS. The minimum score for the TOEFL PBT, TOEFL iBT, and IELTS is 525, 69, and 5.5 respectively.

 
*Note: Applicants who have failed to meet the minimum language requirements are allowed to apply regardless. In the case that they are admitted to GOUMS, students are required to undergo a language placement test upon their arrival: For assessment, they will be tested on their speaking and reading abilities in English and Persian. Based on their level of test performance students must participate in assigned language courses.

Medicine
MD.(Medicine)
At the present the general medical education system consists of 4 basic physiopathology courses-clinical training-clinical internships.
Basic medical science course is 5 semesters Upon completion of the course students are allowed to enter the next period (physiopathology) and before entering to the next the comprehensive medical science exam is available to all students at the same time by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education at all medical universities.
And admitted persons will be allowed to enter the physiopathology course. This exam includes teaching topics in the basic sciences.
