The SBMU School of Pharmacy was established in 1987 with the dedication of young academic staff with admitting 129 freshman students. Presently, after 25 years, the School is located in one of the most modern, and advanced locations in an area of 20,000 m²with high-tech equipment and machinery. It is the largest school of pharmacy at the national level.
The SBMU School of pharmacy has been able to establish 30 educational and research labs, and has trained 624 students at the general level, and 63 ones at graduate levels. There are currently 440 students at the undergraduate level, and 127 students at undergraduate levels. The SBMU students at the School of Pharmacy are from among the top students at the national comprehensive level, so that during the 10 times of holding the Comprehensive Exams, our students have been able to obtain 6-first rank-, and 3-second rank- records among all the Iranian Pharmacy students.
Presently, there are 6 academic departments with 11 specialty fields active at the School.
