Chancellor's Message

Following the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the advent of machine learning and artificial intelligence in society, attitudes towards the application of new technologies in healthcare have altered. The Smart University of Medical Sciences is the first and only specialized university in e-learning and new technologies in the field of education in Iran. We are planning and implementing machine learning and artificial intelligence programs at this university. A smart university is the basis of entrepreneurship and the creation of wealth because the ultimate goal of this university is to move toward a knowledge-based economy in the field of virtual health care. The university’s tasks is to pave the way for such development, and one of its goals is to create and expand a virtual and smart hospital and clinic. Different countries have specifically used artificial intelligence in various software. By reviewing the strategic plan of universities, we see that the provision of health services is an inseparable component of artificial intelligence.
