A delegation of professors from Muhammadiyah Institute in Indonesia visited affiliated research institutes and hospitals at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, including the Endocrinology and Metabolism Research Institute (EMRI), to explore opportunities for scientific collaboration and become familiar with their activities, research projects, and capabilities. The group consisted of specialists in areas such as cell therapy, internal medicine, neurology, nursing, and Islamic medicine.
During the meeting, Dr. Afshin Ostovar, the head of EMRI, introduced the institute's activities in various areas of research, education, and treatment, expressing hope that the two centers could engage in international collaborative scientific, educational, and research partnerships in different fields. These collaborations could include joint research on diabetes, osteoporosis, aging, planning short-term courses, joint webinars, and faculty and student exchange.
