Tarbiat Modares University (TMU) as the first and only graduate university in Iran was founded in 1982 after the Islamic Revolution of Iran. The main goal of this university is to train academic staff and researchers for universities and higher education centers. As a graduate university, TMU offers M.A/M.Sc. degrees in 171 academic programs and Ph.D. degrees in 132 academic programs, with more than 6200 and 3700 students in each level, respectively. At the present time, there are 17faculties and 14 affiliated research centers in the university.

An interested scholar shall initially correspond with a faculty member of TMU or contact the office of international affairs through INTL@ MODARES.AC.IR so that we can inrtoduce him/her to intrested faculty members. the office will then acts on behalf of the host faculty member as far as visa process is concerved.
