DRT Leadership
The Office of the Director is the central office at DRT, responsible for setting policy for DRT and for planning, managing, and coordinating the programs and activities of all DRT components. The DRT Director, with a unique and critical perspective on the entire agency, is responsible for providing leadership to the Institutes and for constantly identifying needs and opportunities, especially for efforts that involve multiple Institutes.
DRT Director Majid Saeedi., Ph.D.
Majid Saeedi was born on January 29, 1970, in Tehran, Iran. He graduated from Alborz high school in 1988. He obtained his Pharm. D. on 1994 in Tehran University of Medical Sciences under the supervision of the Professor Rafiee-Tehrani. Saeedi received his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics on 1998 in Tabriz University of Medical Sciences under the supervision of Professor Farid and Professor Adrangui. He was appointed to the department of pharmaceutics at Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences as an Assistant Professor in 1998. He was promoted to Full Professor in 2009.
Professor Saeedi is the author of over 150 papers on pharmaceutical and cosmecutical sciences. His research interest’s span is Nanotechnology, Cosmetic and toiletries, Oral Controlled Release Preparations, Topical preparations and percutaneous absorption, phytopharmaceutics, Bio adhesives, Natural antimicrobial agents, and Formulation and clinical study. His teaching specialties are Dosage forms and Industrial Pharmacy, Physical Pharmacy, Cosmetics and Toiletries, Bio-pharmacy, Microbial controls of drugs, and physicochemical controls of drugs
Professor Saeedi was honored as the Selected Teacher of the faculty of pharmacy in 2001, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2018; Selected researcher of the faculty of pharmacy in 2001, 2002; Selected researcher of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences in 2003, 2005, 2010, Young Selected Researcher of 10th. National Razi Festival in 2004, Selected researcher of Mazandaran Province in 2010, Selected Dean of Faculties in Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences in 2014, and selected vice chancellor of Food and Drug in Iran in 2016.
