Department of Rehabilitation Management
The Department of Rehabilitation Management was established within the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation sciences (USWR) in 1997. The department is active in teaching theoretical and clinical subjects and also intensely research-active. While many students graduated, numerous students are currently studying in our department. In this world class department, all staff is committed to exemplary professional behavior, collaboration and support.
The department welcomes national and also international students at postgraduate levels.
What is Rehabilitation Management?
Rehabilitation Management is one of the most respected and important majors in health care and the rehabilitation industry. This profession uses a wide range of integrated knowledge in management and rehabilitation and is actively involved with the execution of the rehabilitation system assessment, supporting rehabilitation care givers and care providers. By the rise of the need for rehabilitation administration across the world, this area of health care has excellent career prospects in clinical and academic fields.
Aims
The aim of Rehabilitation Management Department is to enhance knowledge and skills to promote students’ ability in order to direct and coordinate the rehabilitation system and issues. Our vision is to prepare the highest quality education for rehabilitation management students in the region. And our mission is training students with the latest world knowledge of rehabilitation leadership and management. In addition, we aim to reinforce research in rehabilitation fields, system assessment, analysis and problem solving methods.
Teaching
We teach master students based on a fully integrated curriculum that combines self-oriented learning opportunities with high quality lectures and tutorials.
Rehabilitation management graduates will have the opportunity to join the Ph.D. program of Health Service Management, Health Information management, Rehabilitation Counseling, Aging, Social Health Administration and Addiction.
The department ensures your professionalism and confident practice by delivering rehabilitation management training from the beginning of your course till the last day of your study. Students have access to the comprehensive advanced resources and clinical training and teaching, library and recreation facilities of the only rehabilitation university in the country and in the region.
We aim to reach this goal by providing exposure to a varied range of rehabilitation management centers, clinical environments and hospital wards.
Research
Research is the fundamental function in the Department of Rehabilitation Management. Our department has an internationally recognized research program in different areas such as leadership, administration and management in different fields of rehabilitation such as elderly, handicaps, vulnerable people, etc.
